PROTECT AI Branding
Crafted at Protect AI
Before their acquisition by Palo Alto Networks in 2025, Protect AI was a Seattle-based AI security startup in need of a visual identity. I worked with the founders to create a brand system that felt both authoritative and approachable, and developed it over the course of the next two years to support all print and digital touchpoints.
Protect AI attended several key annual events, and each event gave us the opportunity to take risks, play, and ultimately evolve the brand.
Of all the merch I designed for Protect AI, The Little AI Security Activity Book was easily my favorite. The vintage aesthetic of the cover and number 2 pencils stood out against offerings from other booths, and the sticker sheet and colored pencil packs were a popular choice to bring home for the kids.
The MLSecOps Community was Protect AI’s primary educational arm, and they requested a rebrand without straying too far from their legacy shield logo. I designed the new visual identity to tie seamlessly into the Protect AI world without losing the brand recognition they had already built.
